Dr Sabine Braun is Director of the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Surrey. She teaches interpreting practice and theory, and has developed several MA programmes in interpreting. Her research interests include videoconferencing and remote interpreting, learning technologies, multimodality and audio description. Research projects she has led include ‘Assessment of Videoconference Interpreting in the Criminal Justice System’ (AVIDICUS 1, 2 and 3), ‘Interpreting in Virtual Reality’ (IVY) and ‘Evaluating the Education of Interpreters and their Clients through Virtual Learning Activities’ (EVIVA), all with funding from the European Commission.
