John Keep owns an internet retail business. He also loves travel. He founded the Newcastle Jelly co-working group in January 2012 to work with others, break the isolation of working from home and regain the office banter he enjoyed while working in offices, before he become self-employed.

He is also a member of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
