Fiona Stewart has a BA in Community Education, working in the field of Community Learning & Development since 1998.  She started in 1984 working with the BSL research project at Moray House, Edinburgh. Since then on she has worked in different areas mainly as Community Learning & Development worker/ Trainer/Consultant.  She currently works with The City of Edinburgh Council covering different aspects of learning for both volunteers who are hearing and BSL users.  Fiona’s BSL literacy group has recently won awards for ‘Community’ life and Special Achievement in Adult Learning.  The work was recognised as complex and challenging for both learners and volunteers who have varying BSL skills
