My name is Leticia Martínez, and as far as I know I am the only delegate from South America, particularly from Argentina.
I have been an English-Spanish translator for almost 35 years, but regardless of the long time passed since I graduated from Morón University in Buenos Aires, I love this marvellous profession more and more every day.
I basically translate in the fields of Management, Patents, Pharmaceutical Products and Social Security.
I have been a member of the Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos since 1980. This is the largest translators’ association in Latin America. I am currently President for the Colegio.
I also teach Translation Skills at the University.
Besides my work, my main interests are Literature and Theatre.
I am looking forward to meet all of you in a few weeks!
