With such outstanding numbers registered to come to the ITI Conference 2015 in Newcastle, it’s just as well a new concept has been brewing over the last few months. A fourth track dedicated to technical topics and demonstrations, the Tech Hub will offer 30-minute slots throughout both days of the conference for all the techies among you and hopefully also the curious technophobes who may be wanting to do something about it!
The Tech Hub will be a fast and furious series of demonstrations by sponsors Kilgray, MateCat, SDL and STAR UK. There will also be a session on building glossaries and termbases, a session on search engine optimization, a discussion on machine translation and more.
But that’s not all. The Tech Hub is also a space for delegates to present and discuss their ‘pet tech’. Do you use a tool that you couldn’t be without and want to tell others about it? Are you an app wizard? Or do you just want to gather a few like-minded people for a discussion on the merits or otherwise of a particular technology?
This is your chance. Slots are limited and will run alongside the other three tracks. To book a slot, please write to conference@iti.org.uk.
The Tech Hub will be in a room adjacent to the other two breakout rooms and a timetable of the sessions will be published very shortly.
