Sedat Mulayim Mr Sedat Mulayim is a lecturer in the Master of Social Science (Translating and Interpreting Studies) Program at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University. He is a very experienced translator and interpreter, with an extensive history of employment in translating interpreting in the legal, government, health and social welfare sectors. He has a particular interest in the provision of interpreter training for students from newly emerging communities and has supervised Diploma of Interpreting courses and ad hoc programs for trainee interpreters from these communities. He has a Master of Arts by research in translation studies and is currently completing a PhD on the issue of relevance in community translation. He is the Chair of the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) Turkish Panel. He is accredited by NAATI at the Professional level as an Interpreter (Turkish – English) and Translator (English into Turkish and Turkish into English.
