Suzanne Kirkbright After over ten years as a German lecturer, culminating in an Alexander von Humboldt scholarship to research an English biography of a 20th century German intellectual in Heidelberg (published in 2004), Suzanne Kirkbright became a full-time translator in December 2007.
Since her participation in the ITI 2007 Peer Support Group, she focused on developing her specialist field of German to English translation within the general arts, media and publishing. Notable highlights to date include translations of a series of nature guides for natural history publisher, A&C Black, London. Collaboration with translation partners also led to on-site training (translation memory) in Switzerland.
