Call for Papers IssuedITI, the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, has issued a Call for Papers for its upcoming Conference 2009. The Conference, which will be held at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, 1 Birdcage Walk, London, on 16 and 17 May 2009, will be the first conference to follow ITI's very successful 21st Anniversary Conference.
Theme decided - SustainabilityAt its last meeting the ITI Conference 2009 organising committee agreed that the overriding theme for ITI Conference 2009 should be Sustainability. After hearing the term crop up again and again in work, at home and at play, the committee felt it was time that ITI discovered what exactly sustainability means for the modern translator and interpreter. Whether considered from ecological, economic or social points of view, this topic will speak in many different ways to many different people, and the organising committee hopes to attract a wide range of speakers to capitvate the attention of ITI members and others interested in the profession. Further informationFor further information, please view the actual Call , which has been published on the www.iti-conference.org.uk website and is contained within the latest issue of ITI's own journal, bulletin. |
